Privacy policy
Dima Sbaa (ديما سبع) is a fan website about Morocco’s national football team. You can use the whole site without an account. An account is only needed to comment, rate the players, vote in polls and play score predictions and fantasy. This page explains what we keep when you create one, why, and what you can do about it.
1Who is responsible
The website is run by its owner, who is responsible for your data. To reach us, use our contact form.
2What we keep
When you sign in: your email address. With Google or Facebook we also receive your name, your profile picture and that service’s number for your account. We never see your password. Facebook gives us your email only if you allow it.
Your profile, if you fill it in: display name, city, country, favourite player, the club you support, age range, where you usually watch the Lions, the language for emails, and whether you want our newsletter.
What you do in the community: your comments, likes, reports, player ratings, man-of-the-match choices and poll votes, your score predictions, fantasy teams and the private leagues you make or join, with their dates.
Atlas grid: when you find a Lion for a square, we add one to an anonymous count for that Lion and that square (to show how rare each answer is). No account or name is attached to it.
Technical details: when you joined and last visited, the page you joined from, and a scrambled (hashed) version of your internet address, kept for a few days to stop abuse.
Visit counts (everyone, no account needed): to know how many people read the site, we count page views without any cookie, using a scrambled code made from your internet address and browser that changes every day, so a visitor cannot be followed from one day to the next. We keep the page, the language, phone or computer, and the site you came from.
If you write to us with the contact form (no account needed): your name, email, organisation and phone if you give them, the type of request and your message. They are sent to our contact inbox so we can answer you, and kept for two years at most.
3Why
To run your account and the community features, and to show your display name, picture and country next to your comments.
To keep the community safe: moderation, limits against spam and abuse.
To understand who the fans are: statistics such as how many fans live in each country, or the fans’ average ratings. Anything we publish is a total that does not identify anyone.
To email you news, only if you ticked the newsletter box. You can untick it at any time on your profile.
We rely on your consent and on providing the service you asked for.
4Cookies
The site sets no cookie of its own until you sign in (the games keep your scores, and the site your light or dark theme, in your browser’s local storage); only the sign-in and contact forms set a session cookie, which protects the form against forged submissions. When you sign in we set three cookies: one for the session, one that keeps you signed in for up to 90 days, and one that only says “signed in” so the page knows to load your account. Signing out removes them. We use no advertising or tracking cookies. The pages load their fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your internet address like any web request.
5Who can see it
Other visitors see only your display name, picture, country, comments and likes, and your points in the prediction and fantasy tables (and in the tables of your private leagues, which anyone with the invite link can open). Your predictions are shown to others only as totals after kick-off. Your email address, city, age and other answers are never shown.
We do not sell or rent your data. It is stored on our hosting server. Sign-in emails are sent by our server, or by our email provider (Brevo) when we use it.
If you sign in with Google or Facebook, those companies know you used them to sign in to Dima Sbaa; that is covered by their own privacy policies.
6How long
Your data stays until you delete your account. Sign-in codes stop working after 15 minutes. When you delete your account, your profile, comments, predictions, fantasy teams and league places are erased at once (a league you made passes to its longest-standing member); your ratings and poll votes are kept only inside the anonymous totals.
7Your rights
You can see, download, correct or delete your data yourself on your My profile page, and stop the newsletter at any time. Under Moroccan law 09-08 and, for fans in Europe, the GDPR, you can also complain to the CNDP or to the data-protection authority of your country.
8Age
You must be 16 or older to create an account.
9Changes
If we change this policy in an important way, we will say so on the site.
